Beauy is delighted to announce that David Gibson has been appointed Junior Director of Football for Beaumaris Soccer Club effective 2 January 2025.
David is well known to many of you having been at Beauy for over 25years in multiple roles including junior player, senior men’s captain, senior men’s coach, female, and junior coach. He is already part of the club’s successful history having secured the club’s highest ever status with 2 seasons in the National Premier League following promotions for the Senior Men’s team from State League 2 and State League One.
David is also our most credentialled coach and his commitment to the continuous development of his coaching expertise is evident by him completing his NTC qualifications in 2025. On news of his appointment David said:
I am excited to be returning to the club and look forward to working with our junior coaches and players to continue to develop the Beaumaris style of play. I look forward to using my experience in the elite pathways at the NTC to help our coaches continue their development and pass on that knowledge to our players.
David will meet with our Junior Boys and Girls Committee representatives in mid-January to determine any coaching appointments that need to be made for season 2025. He will further develop our coaching curriculum and introduce it to all junior coaches in February to ensure their readiness to develop their expertise and lead our junior player skills development. With his strong knowledge of the club’s values and its people, David is committed to working with everyone at the club to ensure 2025 is a successful season for players and coaches alike.
David will lead our 2025 Super 4s program at the MCC facility from September to November and will oversee the trials for our A squads for season 2026.
Please join me in extending a warm Beauy welcome to David Gibson.
