Beaumaris 4-0 Warragul Utd - Sponsors Day & NAIDOC Week

Updated: Jul 12, 2022

Last Saturday, a great day at Reserve Rd with the first sponsors event of the ‘ new rooms’ era.

Our corporate supporters plus local VIP’s were treated to the best of Beauy hospitality, plus of course the Prez’s tour of our combined initiative with Bayside Council for the unique piece of indigenous art completed on 8 July by artist Stan Yarramunua.

Come and have look at the art in the foyer to the new rooms, and see how our younger members were able to work with Stan to become part of Beauy history!

Pike Peters and Libby Miller from Porsche Centre Brighton came along and showed the latest PCB hardware, whilst representatives from Genius Childcare, McCees Transport, Community Bank-Parkdale, HR Global Solutions, PNO Insurance, Aurora Logistics, MultiGroup Logistics, A&T , JJ Contract Carpets, Chobani, Mordy Charcoal and Grill, Rachcoff Vella. Macdermid Graphics was all on hand to hear President, Joe Mottola deliver a witty commentary on local matters and the eleven-year history of our fight to get the club rooms you all deserve.

Many thanks to all our sponsors for their invaluable assistance on a continuous basis

On to the football, and with NAIDOC week finishing last weekend , the State League 1 women’s and men’s teams wore specially commissioned indigenous shirts for their games last Saturday and Sunday. Many thanks to our opposition, Brunswick Zebras and Warragul Utd who both gladly participated.

On Saturday our Men’s team showed they are a strong contender for promotion, with a well earned 4-0 victory over Warragul. Three first-half goals from Ryan Brown(2) and Johnny Creamer (1) were added to with a further goal to Creamer in the second half. The gloss was taken off the result by three late injuries, which saw Beauy end with 10 men, but an excellent win overall.

Also our promotion-chasing State League 2 Women’s team, has opportunities to win on Sunday, but took a point from Brunswick Zebras with a first-half goal from Taylor James. Our other two State League Women’s teams also won on Sunday to keep themselves in the top two and also pressing for promotion.
