The consistency of the weather this Autumn has been mirrored in the real estate market with yet another weekend of strong auction activity and solid results. Marshall White auctioned a large number of properties on Saturday achieving a success rate for our vendors of 73 per cent. With multiple bidders competing for the majority of properties most results were at the upper end of the quoting range while a number of vendors achieved prices above their reserves. Currently the market is balanced which makes pricing correctly the key to a successful sale. Each week we are seeing new buyers entering the market especially since the interest rate cut and with Easter and the school holidays rapidly approaching there is likely to be a surge of auction activity in May and June.
